Chamber Networking Nosh: Understanding Michigan Reconnect and how it can help you

Jackson College and the Jackson Chamber of Commerce invite local businesses, professionals and community to attend the Chamber’s Networking Nosh on Friday, Sept. 20, 2024, from 7:30 to 9 a.m. at the Commonwealth Building, 1st Floor Grand Ballroom.
Representatives from Michigan Works and Jackson College (JC) will be on hand to discuss Michigan Reconnect, an initiative designed to help employers provide access to educational and training opportunities for their employees. Attendees will learn how companies are utilizing Reconnect to upskill their workforce, creating a stronger, more competitive business environment.
The Michigan Reconnect scholarship program is for eligible adults 21 years and older who want to pursue an associate degree or skills certificate. The program pays the remaining balance of in-district tuition and mandatory fees after other state and federal financial aid has been applied. Students who attend out-of-district community colleges will receive a large tuition discount.
